Obama TV ad

Watched much of the Obama 30-minute “infomercial” last night. So many thoughts on that… would have made a great “media artifact” for one of my media studies classes back in college. I hope, for the campaign’s sake, that the people in the production are exactly who they claimed to be and there are no discrepancies in their stories — not that I’m suggesting that there are, but you can expect that they’re going to be subject to unparalleled scrutiny following the broadcast.

After watching the video… well, I feel roughly the same about Obama as I did before. Which is OK for the campaign, really, since I was going to vote for him anyway and I really can only vote for him once. Even if this is Florida. If someone is undecided, then I guess the commercial may have swayed some people — but, at this point, I have to wonder about anyone who is undecided. There’s quite a bit of daylight between McCain and Obama, I can’t imagine being unsure one way or the other.

Either way, I’ll be quite glad in a few more days when this election is over.
