Still having issues with GMail. This is the Google Apps version of Gmail, as opposed to the freebie version — which is supposed to have wonderful uptime and everything.
Unfortunately, I find that I frequently run into glitches. Usually just a few minutes here and there, but it’s annoying since most of my work life is conducted via email. I’m going to disable the Labs features and see if it makes any difference whatsoever.
I want to love Web-based apps, in fact I do love Web apps — but until I can get near-perfect Net access and uptime from Web services, I still feel much better about data that sits on my local machine.
Strange, looks like it is a localised (USA) issue. I’ve not had any issues with Gmail (freebie) in the UK for well ages.
