But if you post to a mailing list with “hv u” instead of typing out “have you” and are too lazy to type out “you” “your” or “are” — you pretty much look like a moron, no matter how sound your technical suggestions. Browsing for some solutions to OpenLDAP issues, and finding posts to an OpenLDAP-related mailing list where the person replying was using IM abbreviations in e-mail. Yeesh.
